Goodbye 2020

My week has been spent alternately listening to progressive rock in bed while coding up a demo for work, and participating with the COVID-19 response at a vaccination clinic with the Community Emergency Volunteers. Both have been productive in their own ways.

The weather around here seems more severe than nearer the coast in Somerset, with howling winds all night the other night, and much more rain. The country lanes are often flooded and the river level at Bradford-on-Avon has been creeping up toward flood warning level. In spite of this I've been getting out for walks, if not runs, and enjoying checking out the displays of nature like the jackdaws doing their mini-murmuration between two sides of a field I walk through.
